Our Lady of Perpetual Help church in Washington, D.C. held a Festival of Ministries on Sunday, April 28. Participants were able to get an overview of many of the parish ministries of the church. In the 1990s, the Josephites developed a unique relationship with the burgeoning Catholic Church in Nigeria. The Josephites opened a House of Formation in Iperu-Remo, Nigeria. Under the direction of the Josephites, Nigerian men began a 10-year process of preparing for ordination. After four years of spiritual and academic education in Nigeria, the men were then transferred to complete six more years of seminary training in the United States. Today, several classes of Nigerians have been ordained and are serving in Josephite parishes throughout the United States. You can help support the House of Formation in Nigeria, which today is preparing young men for service at Josephite parishes in the United States.
